Those Nights Reflected In The Stars Poem by Cassandra Hooper

Those Nights Reflected In The Stars

Rating: 4.0

I watch these tears
Role down my face
I wipe them away
They're so out of place
I shouldn't cry
I shouldn't weep
I should let it go
And fall asleep
You meant so much
Just as you always will
But over time
Sorrow has replaced the thrill
I cringe at the memories
I hold so near
Was this really worth it
Can you tell me my dear
Was this everything
You thought it would be
Does it hurt you
To hurt me
Do you find yourself
In a place of pain
Or dancing under streetlights
In the pouring rain
So spare me the time
The hideous lies
I know you're not mine
So let's say our goodbyes
