I Missed The Moment Poem by Mohammad Younus

I Missed The Moment

I missed the moment
When I was invited
To the divine presence
He longed to share with me
For evermore.
I was too close to the sun
To open my eyes wide—
In silence, I felt in awe,
And He sent me here
On Time's wings.

Yet, even so, He walks to me,
Hugging me to ecstasy,
Gracing me the truth of His presence,
Assuring me He's always near—
A priceless revelation.

He knows that I love Him,
Even when I stray,
And softly whispers,
'This is your right time;
You will find your way to me
Only through me.'

He shows His love
In a way unique,
Calming me down,
Embraced in light's vast glow.

My connection to the divine
Has flourished through the years,
And even when friction appears,
His love knows no separation.
I feel myself not a part, but whole,
Filled with all the love, the pride,
And the spiritual ecstasy He gifts me.
