I Never Meant To... - Poem by Alice Anne Gordon

I never meant to try to go
away from all your love, so
all I can say now
is thank you somehow
for loving me with patience.

I never meant to try to sow
a seed so full of doubt, so
all I can say now
is love me with forgiveness.

I never meant to hurt you, low
I felt and confused and so
I thought I had to bow
out of life and somehow
you saved me with your flow
of endless loving love.

nice word play, interesting rhyme scheme, (suggesting confusion?) , nice sentiment. (Report)Reply
