I Once Asked A Man Poem by Rachel Dowd

I Once Asked A Man

I once asked a man
If the world was as grand
As all the teachers' tried to say

He said to me so beautifully
That it was up to me to see
If I thought it was so grand
As they tried to pass it off to be

I said to him what of the wars
That is ever to be waged
If they were as horrible as they tried to say
He said to me well if they have not happened yet
Then it's really impossible to say

I said to him that he's quite witty to see
That trick I tried to pull
He looked at me and said with glee
I taught you those tricks you see
