And he once loved me.
Together forever
I thought we would be.
But Fate came between,
And tore us apart.
And the boy that I loved
Has broken my heart.

Friends came to comfort,
Indeed, they were kind.
But after the funeral
They left me behind.
Now I'm all alone
Feeling blackened and blue,
Wishing that God
Had taken me too.

Minutes and hours
Have turned into years,
And I wonder whatever
Will stifle these tears.
Am I just fated
To play Lady Gray,
Watching my dreams
Fading away?

The darkest of times
Comes 'fore the dawn,
But I found deep inside
The strength to move on.
And just like a snake
That grows tight for it's skin.
I found out that Life,
Anew must begin.

'Cause I once loved a boy
And he once loved me.
But together forever
Wasn't to be.
And though it's been years
Since we had to part,
The boy that I loved,
Still holds a place in my heart.
