I Realize Poem by Lorie Ries

I Realize

These little demons are in my head. It's not death, it's them that I dread. More often than not, I stay awake, for fear that my mind will surely break. I am so very sorry that I lost you because I realize: I lost me too. The thought of you is what I hold dear. Missing you keeps me right here. I look in the mirror and ask myself 'Why? ' I know the answer, and it makes me cry. I am so very sorry that I hurt you because I realize: I hurt me too. All I do now is avoid reflection. Pieces are scattered beyond detection. Things went wrong and I lost all hope. Now you're gone and I'm trying to cope. I am so very sorry that I disappointed you because I realize: I disappointed me too. You're always with me, I hope you know. My love for you I will never let go. The sun still rises, the sun still sets. For the time we shared, there are no regrets. I'm so very sorry that I'm missing you because I realize: I'm missing me too.

It rhymes well but you need to put your poem in stanzas to make it flow and easier to read. Never the less a good write. Keep writing.
