I Remember Poem by John Carter Brown

I Remember

I REMEMBER

I remember daydreams
I remember ice-blue jeans
I recall the sunbeams
at the same time as the rain

I recall my childhood
I remember Don Wood
I remember taking
all the numbers of the trains

And when I think about these things
it always makes me smile
how memories can set you free
if only for a while.

I remember weekends
I remember old trends
I recall my young friends
as we walked along the lane

I remember fishing
sitting there and wishing
every bite was missing
and the whole thing was in vain

And when I think about these things
it always makes me smile
how memories can set you free
if only for a while.

These things I remember
These few things I remember...
remember.
