I Remember What You Said Poem by Aundra Speed

I Remember What You Said

I think I finally get it
Every word you said
Not because you said it
But because I guess
That One day I’ll see my self
In a far place from here
No worries, No struggles
No battles, No tears
I talk like I’m dying
Maybe yes indeed
Dying to myself
Living for me
This may be selfish but you just don’t see
These late night wonders
The drowning in the deep Adriatic sea
They say you should live like your dying
But when you’re dying you do a whole lot of crying
Every night I spend deciding
If tomorrow is worth inviting
Because there is a party with no invitation
Just bring your soul as your ticket at the bus station
And ride until it’s your stop
And walk down the street a couple blocks
And there you will find people like you
And those people that have discovered the truth
So I guess you were right
You tried to tell me every night
That happiness is what I’ll find
When I’m long gone
And I finally realize
Thankyou
