I Remember When. Poem by Michael Cochrane

I Remember When.

Saying Sir, or Madam to an adult,
Showing respect for elders,
Giving up your seat for the infirm and old people.
Opening doors for ladies,
Singing together,
Eating at the table as a family sharing food and conversation.
Nobody queuing outside a telephone box!
People will manners,
No tattoos on people's bodies or faces only sailors with anchors on each arm.
Well dressed and groomed people with style and elegance.
We have lost so much!
