I Remember You Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

I Remember You

Rating: 5.0

I remember you

In every one of my dreams,
In every passing hour,
Deep within my mind.

You paint my day with smiles
And litter every fading second
With constant sweet fragrances.

I remember your inviting spirit
That sweeps my soul beneath;
Your heart-winning pill I swallow,
Whole, deep within, in merriment.

I remember you, innermost idol,
You are engraved in stone,
Deep within the cave of my heart.

But know this surely true:
Even as you leave, my heart foams
With rage, fire, thunder and volcano,
Till the day we meet again.
