Many a day do i stay awake

till the early hours of the morning

Sitting here wondering what it is

that makes you tolerate us

The amount of pain you go through

due to us is unimaginable

Yet you chose to stay with us till the end

 

We do not deserve all that you give

Yet you give it to us unconditionally

Only asking for one thing in return

And yet we still cannot fully commit

To what it is you ask of us

 

For that reason alone i salute you

for no one is more deserving than you

You who have been the pillar of our world

The one main constant that drives us to be better
