I Saw Her Poem by Sebastien St. Fellmore

I Saw Her

Rating: 5.0

a tremble in the hand out-stretched
her eyes avert and stay astray
afraid of noticement hoping to be noticed
should i give her the poem i've written for her?
walk up to her table and breach the distance
sever the barrier to an us?

pen-smeared papers full of what i cannot say
a thousand leaves of pledges and submissions
words unable to capture her heart or my thoughts
feeble attempts to make her aware
of another lost soul addicted to her
with never ever meeting her
completely knowing her
words and sentences incapable for sure
