I Saw Humanity Burning In The Blazing Hades

Rating: 5.0

May I know the reason
Why that harmless died
Pining by the busy roadside?

People passing to and fro
Ignoring the misery as usual show
Letting the life of poor ox go..!

You stony veterinarian
What made your heart so hard
To make that Pity's call discard!

And you, so called doctor
Proclaiming and pretending so pitiful and kind!
Didn't care to have a look; was your comfort zone so close behind?

And you all residing close by
Do you humans literally mind
What is mean by merciful and kind?

Or have ye humans ever thought
Why has God made you so powerful and wise?
That you poison the harmless and disdain him while he dies?

My heart bled, as the soul fled
Leaving this disdainful world behind
And I stood helpless, ashamed of this world unkind!

I'm sorry, I proved so worthless
Letting you die, and my dear ones cry
All humanity I saw burning in the fire of Hades blazing high!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The incident took place on the evening of 17th November,2018. I was returning from market late in the evening approx at 07: 00pm. I was with my family about to reach my destination, as soon as I crossed Majkhali market we saw an ox lying in the ground almost on his death-bed-stage. Only one of his ears was moving and few slight movements could be observed in one of his legs and over the neck. I immediately called to an assistant veterinarian whose contact number I had, he said it's not possible for me to come not, and did not bother even to suggest some help. I called a local doctor (who resides close by) , he said that animal issue is not my part and denied to come down. I called some local people and from all I got the same shocking response, "Sir that's not mine" and cold reply "leave that sir". I tried to stop the local taxi drivers, but no-one did care. This continued for half and hour and unfortunately we witnessed the harmless animal's body giving up those least and last responses.
