I saw you
You didn't see me
I know that that's the way
It's always going to be.

I will always be lingering
Always waiting for you
But when I'm a minute late
You'll drift away; you always do.

I look at you
I wonder what you're thinking
Not of me, I'm sure
I resume my steady blinking.

Why can't I grasp
That you'll never really care?
I could mention it to you someday...
