I almost gave up today
But I saw you watching
I thought I could go away
But I saw you watching.

Those beautiful pure eyes
That never fail to surprise
You stood at my side
Held my hand as I cried.

'Are you ok mam? '
You asked
I'll look after you mam
Your words looping in my head.

7years old
Good as gold
Little do you know
Today you saved my life! !

I almost gave up today

My mind went astray
But I saw you watching

You stood there strong
My heart screamed hang on! !
Just a little bit longer
Soon you'll be stronger

It's ok mum
My body went numb
How did you know
I was about to let go?

Unable to sink any lower
Time going slower
