I see the sea, but from what I see
I cannot say one way or the other
Wild hounds balk at the waters edge
Water crawls cold onto unsure paws
The water is icy this time of year
the dogs retreat, all are quickly gone
But as for me I continue my still fixed gaze
A bird flies too low, a fatal and last mistake
A hand full of sand, a bit of a breeze, pleasant sunshine
Yes, I see the sea, how delightful for me, sit and see the sea
