I did nothing special
On the day
They put the two youngsters
In their graves
He in his, she in hers
A pang for the father
Who was deprived of the son he knew
(Or did not know) for nineteen years.....
The mother mourning
Her only daughter delicate and shy
Who smiled seldom
And dreamed much.....
Not being able to think past
Horror to see what was left.....
but over and over
Of the smashed car
Walking off forever
Weaponless against death
Grief at its heights. However we try we cannot stop the scene of accident and the graves from haunting our thoughts. Congratulations for being featured in POD..10
Very touching indeed, well scripted with outstanding style......10+++
Life is kinetic power At the level of breathing, life progresses towards eternity Beliefs show dreams, bring firmness to the rhythm of life Life is one of the carriers of death Death comes not to stop life Rather to think in the opposite way of stopping
And dreamed much..... Not being able to think past Horror to see what was left..... but over and over Of the smashed car........so beautifully stepping ahead the poetic verse; delightful to read though it's delineated a graph of sadness; if I fixed the car as the pace of life then the smashed car is the symbol of death or end of life; and the last two lines here portrayed the hope of life; very good poem penned; congrats for being selected this poem as POD
