I Send My Regards - Poem by Alisha Faye
This one is dedicated to all those putting in long hours, especially the night shift. I wrote this after working all night then trying to stay awake so I could go to school.
Dear One, my desire is for you.
I pine for your serene sanctuary,
Only with you will my limbs be at ease-
Enveloped in your cool softness and warm tranquility.
You alone are the release and restraint,
I only want to be locked up with you,
To be chained down by drowsiness-
I will surrender consciousness.
My thoughts are consumed by your singular beckoning.
Too long have I been detained,
Disallowed repose until my body and mind cry out!
I send my regards to you, my love, to you- My Bed.
