I try to smile when I think of you
Of you and him
Of how you’re falling for him
Of how it is hard to not say anything
Do anything
Feel anything
When I want to say and do what I feel for you

I tell myself that it is better off this way
You and him
You falling for him
You saying and doing and sharing yourself with him
Like you did with me
Like you wanted with me
As I tell myself that it is better off this way

I lie to myself that it doesn’t matter to me
You with him
You making love to him
You holding him the way you held me
When we were one in body
When we once made love
And I lie to myself saying it doesn’t matter to me
