I Still Sit Down Everyday Poem by Pratit Todkar

I Still Sit Down Everyday

Rating: 5.0

I still sit down everyday
with the lights turned off
while the darkness surrounds
in the solitary of the night
replaying the past
for the pain, to me that is as if heroin
that every little memory brings
picking from the catalog
to find the memory
that bring the most pain.
while waiting for the sunrise
so I can go back to life
but the light doesn't shine
as my life in her absence is just
darkness and the night
high on pain
