I Thought It Was You Poem by Jessica L Taylor

I Thought It Was You

For a moment,
I thought it was you.
But i soon remembered you were cold
and this wasn't you at all.

Then I heard your voice.
Am I insane?
Why are you calling me?
we can't talk anymore.

And I ran.
Away.
Far away.

And now i'm here.
Sitting with you,

Silent.

I can't stand it!
I can't take this anymore!
Where are you.
WHERE ARE YOU!

Is it you that lays beside me everynight,
only for me to get up and be alone?

I crawl
I crawl
I crawl

along the dirt and the mud
In the thick wet rain
and i find you still there laying helpless.
Six feet under.
In a hole I dug myself.

And I crawl,
I crawl,
I crawl.

And finally lay beside you once again.
