I Told You Poem by Randy McClave

I Told You

I told you I would tell you goodbye
If you will not forget that guy,
So, instead of grieving, today I am leaving
I'm walking out the door it's either him or I.
I wonder if you'll ever feel any remorse or regret,
Because, today is the day that I finally left.

I had told you this once before
That I would walk out the front door,
To that door I am now heading, my decision I am not dreading
As I can't take this confusion anymore.
Now, I wonder if you will ever be sad,
Because you constantly made me jealous and mad.

I told you that it could be only you and me
In any relationship there can't be a three,
Remember it was your choice, it was your voice
Now I am setting you free.
Now it can always be you two,
Not ever again will it ever again be me and you.
