I've Been Retired So So Long (Bussokusekika) Poem by Edwin Tanguma

I've Been Retired So So Long (Bussokusekika)

I've Been Retired So So Long (Bussokusekika)

The verdict is in
I'll not be cleaning restrooms
Or unloading trucks
I've been retired so so long
I don't have a resume
Who would want to employ me

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have been on SSDI for quite some time now...I recently applied for a position at a local retailer to supplement my disability income...Said company requested that I submit a resume...Sadly I had deleted my resume years ago on the belief that I did not need it anymore...lol...Shoot...I believed that said job would have been a walk in the park compared to some of the jobs I have held over the years and I felt that I could perform the job in question handily...Who knows? ? ? Maybe one day I'll prepare a resume and reapply for said position...hehehe...Time will tell...
