I'Ve Moved On Poem by Rachel L. Z.

I'Ve Moved On

Summer days, and winter nights
You were cold as ice, and I may have been right
At the end of the day, it wasn't worth the fight

Days and weeks, and months went by
And I tried, but I could no longer lie
You weren't ready, and neither was I.

I thought I needed your help
But I found myself when you weren't looking
You can say you saw me all along
But you were wrong and it's too late for you to find me
I've moved on

How do you dare to stare
When she's standing right there
Do you think I'm blind, or just don't care

It took me too long to figure out that it was
Too late to figure out that it's
Too late to figure out you and me

I thought I needed your help
But I found myself when you weren't looking
You can say you saw me all along
But you were wrong and it's too late for you to find me
I've moved on
Through the rain
Through the sharp, unwelcome pain
I've moved on
Through the tears
Through the nights that felt like years
And I pulled myself together and I
Found out that I'm better
Thanks to you.
