I Wake Today To New Life
I wake today to new life
I thank G-d
I can think again
I can write again
An inner happiness returns
We live in a world in which we are beyond ourselves
And surprised time and again
At how we become someone else
And how we return to ourselves
And all this is a miracle and at times a nightmare
And we go on until we do not
Surprising ourselves and being surprised by ourselves
Until we die
