I Want, I Wish. Poem by Troy Clark

I Want, I Wish.

I wish I had the ability to see
the complete and ultimate shades of happiness
The sparkle ones eyes gain when told 'I love you'
Or the awe struck face of a woman just asked to be wed
and the tears, so natrually shed, and the laughter
or kisses that soon follow.

I wish I had the luxury to just sit back
and watch this planets flora bloom!
I want to walk this world, run it through with a blade
dig into it's insides, learn, grasp, accept!
And finally, at the peak of it's last breath-my breath
To fully understand its fragility!
