I want to know the truth more deeply,
Deeper than my mind can grasp.
I long to read the hidden scriptures,
Stored upon the shelves of mysteries.
I want to know the color, the design
Of every blossom yet to unfold,
And understand
Every dream and hope
The Divine holds for me.
I want to hear the sweetness
In the cosmic sound of creation.
Though I do not see You here
In flesh and bone,
My soul listens,
Aligning with the eternal sound.
I want to see Your smile,
And know the signs and gestures
When You say, 'I am before you.'
I want to feel You sitting behind my eyes,
Reside within my ears,
Speak through my tongue.
I want to know You as Lord,
Seated upon the throne of my mind.
I want to understand how
Your touch remains so gentle
In a world so crude and rough.
I want to find Your beauty
In every face I meet.
I long to know You better—
Beyond the limits of my senses.
I want to realize I am not just a mirror,
But He who gazes at His own reflection.
