I Was At Sunshine Park Today Poem by Junate Ers.

I Was At Sunshine Park Today

I was at Sunshine Park today,
Slid away tiny squares
Through my eyes at Sunshine Park.
My eyes full of loads as Fall glares,
Longing for those days fixed on a lark
That lark was small and so indifferent
To us who were lost in future
Forgetting how we were vibrant.
Destiny caught us off handed and mature.

None of you were present
Under the oak tree we used to gather.
Actually, I knew the truth at that stinging moment.
You guys all broke off my childhood in a summer,
As we had to move to another place for ever

Oh, those days were great,
When we were kings and lords
Running through The Sunshine Park's gate.
Truth was just a distant word
Wielding recklessly our knight swords.

It was dull and cold
As leaves flew fast and in a hurry!
My heart twisted with pain
Yelling at the dungeons of fate sad and blurry!
Kids ran about wild and relished fun in a horde
You should've seen how they jumped around insane.
How could I share it?
You were absent and unaware.
Today buried the child in me deep under the court,
As my eyes were looking for you everywhere,
You were neither in south nor in north.

I was at Sunshine Park today,
You guys, did you see my tears in the wind?
How can I know? you were so away!
