I Was Only One Small Person Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Was Only One Small Person

I was only one small person
But in my lifetime I saw and met
I heard
So many great people
The world was rich is rich with remarkable souls
And stories
So many people and things they have said and done-

There has been so much and is so much
How great it is that so much will go on is going on
When I will no longer be here
Thank God it does not all depend on me
It never has
And never will.
