I Went To Plymouth Poem by Jeff Hobbs

I Went To Plymouth

I took the path to frosty ground
In the hope of leaves and choices
Barns, bridges, trees and smoky haze.
I wandered the roads
(Busy roads)
And searched behind barrels and walls
All I found were empty beer bottles
Stained snow and a dead squirrel.
