my heart trembles as i think of you
so much strange, forgotten emotion
pulse through me at a hundred miles an hour
praying for your total utter devotion

when i look into the sky,
i find myself searching for you.
wondering, imagining, hoping
that you gaze upwards for me too

the moon reminds me of my heart
it stays there bright and strong
felt and witnessed the cruelty of man
but still it stays despite the wrong

when i think of the moon i think of possibility
the beautiful wonder and never ending secrets
that keep me entranced, hypnotized
from all its majestic beauty

if my heart was the moon
id give it all to you.
to hold and gaze at forever
to watch over you and whatever you do

i will be your moon girl
and you can be my world
forever we can dance around each other
pushing and pulling in each others
gravitational pull <3
