I Will Do It For Love Poem by Ekwueme Kelechi

I Will Do It For Love

I will be the invisible whisperer
To caress your soul
At its feast with sorrow
I will do it for love

I will be the might
On which your feet stand
The creature
On which your back finds comfort

I will be the hand
That will absorb the rain from your eyes
I will be the strength
Before your peers

I will always give you
The battery of the mouth
Which man lost in the garden of Eden
For I cherish your internal basket

I will carry your heart
Like the Precious of a specific snake
I will carry it
With the carefulness that beclouds a nursing mother

Even when the day becomes a virgin
After she has pulled off
Her mourning cloth
I will prevent the jealous sun from disturbing your rest

When your gay goes gray
Just tap the image of my Being
I will be there with the speed of a ray
Never doubt my say

I will do all these and more for love
I promise to make your joy glow
This is from the inner desk
Of a "Man"
