I Will Model My Death Mask For You Poem by Patti Masterman

I Will Model My Death Mask For You

I will model my death mask for you;
And you can kiss my then cold lips,
Since warmly alive wasn't what you ever craved from me.
And even if I never get kissed by you,
Someone else much larger
Will be embracing me by then;
So don't be surprised
If in time, I forget that you ever existed, too.
