I Will Never Forget May 13th,2007 Poem by Annie Marshall

I will never forget May 13,2007 thats the day we lost our home to a fire.
So many memories vanished that day, So many lives changed forever.
I thank god for my 2 cats who saved my husbands life, but in return there life wasn't spared, they died instead. Its been 2 years since that awful day and when I think things are getting better i go back into depression. Thinking of all we lost. Pictures, Letters from family, Memontos, Antiques, Yearbooks, Albums, Herlooms, So many things that aren't replaceable.
I wish i could take back that awful day but i can't, I can only go forward, and hope that one day, life would be better for me.

Life has a way of sneeking up and snatching whats most important to one's self. You can't change the past, you can only make the future better. I still have my good days and every so often that awful day comes to me full force and only makes me sad and makes me remember all that we lost.
