I Will: [original 05 18 09] Poem by Lee B. Mack

I Will: [original 05 18 09]

Ask -will fields of bulbs of lilies grow?
I will take your word for many fields abloom
in majesty’s redundancy too soon…
Where flowering hope chooses to root
I will root… by scarlet pimpernel
Neighbors in the ballast from far away
Continental distant shores
I will sprout from good coastal salt marshes
With the marigold… and when the purple
From fading rainbow loosestrife blooms
I will heed but thrust into the aim of love
I will pluck the sucker to taste the buttercup
And in the glandular digest drink to hiccup
To the rhythm
Of your Venus-Flytrap
I will take your word for the redundancy…
I will root with the root unexplained
Take my arousal to end in rests
Through the deep and rock of ages
By the turn of the intent of the pages.
