I will paint this landscape
Spread out by the Creator's hand.
The school teacher will buy it
For his classroom wall.
I will paint the golden sunset-
Great on the living room wall.
The homeowner will buy it
To cast nature into the room.
I will paint the long snaky road-
A souvenir for the traveller.
It will fetch me a fortune, I know;
Life itself is a long road-trip.
I will paint a fruit medley;
To have that on the hotel wall,
The hotelier will pay a tidy sum
For patrons to whet their appetite.
I will paint the glorious sun rays
Symbolizing light of the world.
Won't a pastor spend the offering
For the congregation to see Light?
Then I will draw a happy soul,
Having encashed all the drawings,
Eating life with a big spoon,
To the glory of gifted hands.
