I Will Wait Poem by Nadia Mottley

I Will Wait

I wait for a silken ether of blue
To surround my senses and enshroud my fears
Somnolently still I stand before you
Consumed, yet soliciting your temperate ears
The reason for existence and the meaning of this pain-
We grow in no essential grace that has not drowned in rain
