I Will Walk With God Today Poem by Emma Beverage

Goddess please, I ask of you,
each and every hour.
Help me to shut my mind to
what does not give me power.
Teach me to focus upon
the many ways I am blessed.
Hold my cares and fears for me
give my poor heart a rest.
Let each day teach me more
about what you want from me.
Let all my earthly cares be
of less concern to me.
Help me to act today
as if I lived in Heaven.
If I practice long enough,
the needles eye will open
the pearly gates of Heaven.
let me not be distracted
by others bad behavior.
How they act is their choice,
that point I need not labor.
I choose to keep my mind upon
The truths taught by my Savior.
I will walk with God today
treat everyone like my neighbor.
