I Wish Poem by Natalie Clyne

I Wish

I wish I was strong enough to say no
I wish I was strong enough to say yes
I wish I was brave enough to stand up
I wish I was brave enough to back down

I wish I was happy being taller
I wish I was happy being smaller
I wish I was at peace being loud
I wish I was at peace being quiet

I wish I was strong
I wish I was weak
I wish I was elegant
I wish I was me

All these things I wish I was
But most of all
I wish I could stop wishing
Wishing away my life
I am who I am
I’m not about to change
Be proud of who you are
That is what I have learnt
So now instead of wishing away my life
I decided to start living it.

Enjoyed the poem, and learnt some lessons. Deserves to be hung on everyone's wall.
