I Wish I Could Poem by SHEILA JOY BENLIRO

I Wish I Could

Rating: 5.0

When trust is doubted; how I wish I could surrender my soul.
Shed the clothes and become my skin,
To see the lights that’s within just to understand its meaning.

When misunderstood; how I wish you walk through the doors of my mind.
Hold the memories close at hand;
To help you understand I guess.

When love isn’t felt; how I wish I could scream it out that loud.
Remember the sacrifice that I have been;
Instead of finding it no meaning.

When hurt; how I wish I have chosen darkness from cold.
Endure blindness in eternity;
Than to see my soul so cold from fear.

When thinking about our future; how I wish I could chose between heaven and hell.
But I will endure hell for tomorrow can tell;
Just for you to be in heaven and well.

I guess it’s time I run far and far away;
From discomfort and pain.
Till pleasures the same just to keep me from trouble.
More than words can say, it’s just my tears in the rain.
