I Wish I Could Blame You Poem by Aimee Rozen

I Wish I Could Blame You

You took my love away from me;
and so I hate you.
You were supposed to be safe;
but you were abused.
Your name had never passed his lips;
so I never knew,
how could I? -you were his secret.
This is not the first time
the finger has pointed to you.
But this is the first time
you've been in my life.
How could you do what you did?
You took the only thing that mattered.
But he was the one who pushed the button
and took his last big breath.
