I wish you could feel this pain
I have suffered enough
I'd give you my weakness,
wrapped in velvet
and I'd beg you to turn it to strength.
Cry these burning tears
let me eat while you skip my meals
Mourn while I sing
take my exhaustion while I rest peaceful
consumed in a warmth
of hope and faith.
Take my sorrow
if it pains you more
to see it upon my face
than it does to have you carry this burden.
Yet even with all my pain
My sorrow
My loneliness
soon I'll once again be happy
and you will see me smile.
