I Wish I Had A Cold Heart Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

I Wish I Had A Cold Heart

Rating: 5.0

I wish I had a cold heart
one that could be turned on and off like a switch
Life would be easier to navigate
but it's a flame
It flickers in the winds of change and struggles to stay lit
Sometimes it burns brightly and I know one day it will go out altogether only I wish it would remain in the heart of another
But we don't know our own fate
We only have our hopes
