I Won't Be Defeated By The Night Poem by Gary Dobbs Morgan

I Won't Be Defeated By The Night

I won't be defeated by the night,
I won't be defeated by the night,
The darkness
that precedes the emptiness,
that precedes the nothingness,
that precedes the end,
is the time when all
must be accomplished, enjoyed, vanquished, tried, celebrated, mourned.
The time is now to embrace, enjoy, dance, serenade, and partake as if,
there is no tomorrow
all must be accomplished, be enjoyed, be vanquished, be tried, be celebrated, be mourned.
The time is now to embrace enjoy, dance, serenade, partake as if there is no tomorrow.
