I Walked Back To Look At The Moon Tonight Poem by Gary Dobbs Morgan

I Walked Back To Look At The Moon Tonight

I walked back to look at the moon tonight
You see I walked past the moon
as I had
on many other nights,
but tonight as I passed by the two story building
the moon checked into my peripheral vision as
I kept walking
but then
suddenly
my thoughts were
look at the marvel, look at the light, look at the shape,
go back, spend time
it's there for you
and so I walked back to look at the moon
full as it was
there for me to see

I don't know if the spelling should be 'storey' in line five. If it is a mistake then be thankfull; leave it because it is a brilliant play on words. This is a wonderfully constructed piece and the imagery is excellent. It has a great flow that has no need for the use of interrupting stanzas.
