I Wonder If You Can See Poem by Sarah Elizabeth DuVal

I Wonder If You Can See

They say a person's eyes are a window to their soul,
And I wonder if you can see into mine.
I try to hide my feelings,
Yet I'm sure you can see,
Every time we catch each other's eye,
I'm always the first to glance away.
I wonder if you can see,
The feelings I try to hide,
When you catch my eye,
I wonder if you can see,
Into my heart and soul.
