Identity Be Relative Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Identity Be Relative

Identity falls in the All
In the All be relative
Identity included
Therefore I assert
That direct heredity through DNA
Be just as relative
And in as proportion direct.

Though in the increasing rain
In panting though
I pursued the wise bird
and
I saw it slow its flight
As when the eagle alights
It was in the cemetery.
Hiding
The bird fly I saw
From grave to grave
As fetching feverish
A treasure
Then it alighted on the tomb
Alas! I knew too well
It was a sacred tomb
My mother's tomb

And there it stayed more than half-hour

With moving head as whispering
And its wise brain with more wisdom filling:
And then satiated the wise bird flew.

And when home I arrived
My wise bird I saw
Sober and pondering
Abd
Pondering and sober

She eyed me as to tell
And I eyed back
Yet we spoke not
And sighed I
And sighed the Wise Bird

No tears they shed
Tears not fall
