Idolizer Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Idolizer

When someone becomes your everything
Epitome of devotional fanaticism
Commanding hair on fire attention
Consummated by flames of feral lust
Mesmerizing your world with indelible beauty
You wander in those green orbs of wonder
An untrodden paradise breaking the mist
Bernini's angel plunging the divine arrow
Into the ecstatic expression overtaking
The pristine face of St. Teresa
Surrendering to the infatuation within
Take...take me into your breath
To the depths of your quiescent soul!
