Poetry Addict - Poem by Pasquale DiMeola
First the perspiration on the forehead
Then a tense outburst of inner emotions
Followed by a profusion of mingled words
Struggling against themselves to frame thought
Or, should I say thoughts
Since one preoccupied fix is never enough
To satisfy this insatiable craving
Agitating uncontrollably through the veins
Anytime, anyplace, the urge confronts
Literally amok in a state of overload
Brain throbbing
Eyes dilating and focus
Words align
As I mainline a stanza for relish!
