If Poem by Maida Iftikhar Chikan

If

If I were a sky
colored grey and dark,
would you downcast your eyes upon seeing me?
would you describe me infamy?
would you forget my oblige?
would my color tarnish my worth?

And if i were a sky colore blue,
with floating fairly calm clouds,
would my pretty white clouds adorn me?
would my beauty delight your vision?
would you glorify my worth?

But,
if i were just a sky,
an overhead shelter to you
and your mind was blind,
would my color matter?
Or,
wouldn't i shelter you?
